Our latest article 'A brief history of copyright' looks at the origins of copyright.
From its roots in Greek, Roman and Jewish cultures. The rise of movable type and the spread of the printing press. The first laws and legislation. How it evolved to include the wide range of literary and artistic works including paintings, photographs, sound recordings, films & video, software, music, etc. and extended to include translations and derivative works. And finally to the adoption of international conventions harmonising protection between countries.
